Review
AusLogics Registry Defrag 4.1 is an interesting free tool for defraging and optimizing the Windows registry in very few steps. It removes unused or wasted space, gaps, etc. for compacting the registry and get faster operation on the user system.
As starting the application, the initial welcome window shows the only three steps to follow for defraging the Windows registry and to improve system performance.
1.- Registry Analysis: the application checks the Windows registry and finds the registry fragmentation level. The registry analysis process is shown on a small window and the user can stop this process following the program instructions.
2.- Resuts overview: the program displays the registry analysis results, a diagram with the registry entries present distibution and another diagram showing the final better results after the suggested defrag action. The program shows the estimated enhancements after defraging, on the registry size and the system speed. The user now decides to defrag the registry or quit the application.
3.- After defraging the registry, the program shows the result of the operation with the enhances obtained in registry size and registry access speed improvement. The user can now exit the application or display a detailed report on all the actions taken by the application.
